Born in Georgia, stylist Emily Adams Bode studied in Switzerland, before returning to America to specialize at the Parsons School of Design in New York.

After finishing her studies, in 2016 she launched her own brand and only seven months later she presented her first collection during Men’s New York Fashion Week.

Growing up with her mother and aunt passionate about antiques, the young designer, she creates unique garments made with precious fabrics, carefully searched in the USA and around the world. Her particular and very personal style, every embroidery and detail is reminiscent of family heirlooms, life stories.

The lived stories of friends, family and even places contain the keys that unlock the fantastic treasure trove of embroideries, embellishments, prints and colors that have established Bode as one of the coolest new American labels on the scene.

For her Pre-Fall, her inspiration comes from her marriage with longtime partner and collaborator, Aaron Aujla, which took place in their newly purchased home where she brought together the Punjabi traditions of her upbringing and those of its mixed heritage of the south and east coast.

The concept of “home” is present in the collection through the use of fabrics, crochet embroidery, details in brown popcorn chenille on shirts and jackets, reminiscent of grandmothers’ bedspreads, animal shapes in various prints, reproduction of a quilt for children originally made from waste sack of feed.

Unique pieces that have become her signature, to be passed on to the next generation, research and recovery.
