Rumors these days are the news circulating in the showrooms during the last fashion weeks before Milan and then Paris: Riccardo Tisci could become the new creative director of Off-White ™ . According to certain sources, the news is almost confirmed, and Ib Kamara, current creative director, should keep the role of Art & Image Director of the brand, while Tisci should take care of the actual collections.

The new designers Ibrahim Kamara, born in 1990, was appointed creative director of Off-White last April, a young and promising designer with a new vision and a very casual approach to masculinity, inclusion and genderless fashion.
It made its debut a few days ago during the Paris fashion shows, just the day before the deceased designer’s birthday; many celebrities in the front row, from Naomi Campbell to Halle Bailey, Tina Kunakey and the supermodel Winnie Harlow.

The color element is blue, the catwalk where the models parade is cyan, the palette ranges from hydrangea blues to white and black.
The debut SS23 collection explores the human body and its anatomy, the seams of the clothes are reminiscent of tendons and muscles, prints on sweatshirts and overalls are the reproduction of a skeleton seen under X-rays.
Overalls, leather suits crossed by cuts showing the navel , insisting on the idea of “work in progress”.
Off-White’s dresses with portholes thus become a metaphor for a window overlooking the world or a gateway to a higher place.

The collection is called Celebration and is a tribute to the life and style of one of the pioneers of contemporary fashion: Virgil Abloh!
