Lemaire is a Parisian brand created in 1991 by the French designer Christophe Lemaire, the designer takes his first steps alongside Mugler, makes practices as an intern at Saint-Laurent and works with Michel Klein who, in 1986, leaves to go to Jean Patou, where Lacroix is responsible for high fashion. In 1991, the designer signed his first collection, with which he won the ANDAM award. In 2000 he was appointed artistic director of Lacoste, in 2010 he assumed the artistic direction of the women’s prêt-à-porter Hermès, a position he held for four years.
After of which focuses its efforts on its brand, which in 2014 was renamed LEMAIRE. Christophe Lemaire is also artistic director of the Uniqlo research and development center in Paris and designs the Uniqlo U line.

Launched by Sarah-Linh Tran, the brand exploded, conquering a large audience with collections that reinterpret the classics of men’s clothing in a modern key. Luxury and elegance are the foundations of Lemaire‘s wardrobe, versatile and fluid garments. Feminine, masculine and unisex looks were presented on the catwalk, trench coats that can be worn as coats or vests, denim jackets and a red marbled shirt created in collaboration with the artist Frédérique Pelletier.

Each garment has been designed to be interchangeable and it is natural to imagine seeing it worn not only on the streets of Paris but around the world. “Getting dressed is a bit like traveling,” said Lemaire. “You get dressed, go to someone, or have a destination in mind”. And the collection was designed exactly like this, to be suitable for any occasion and make anyone who wears it ready for any new adventure.

With an original design, with a Parisian allure, the Lemaire brand has signed the Croissant bag, giving way to a new way of wearing cross body bags.
